APC’s Namadi Wins Jigawa Governorship Election

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Malam Umar Namadi, has won the 2023 Jigawa State gubernatorial election.

The state Returning Officer of the election, Professor Zayyanu Umar, announced this at the state collation centre in Dutse, the state capital.

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi said Alhaji won the election with 618,449 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Mustapha Sule Lamido, votes, who scored 368,726 votes.

Naija News reports that Namadi, who was the deputy governor of the state, is set to succeed the Governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Badaru.
