Abiodun Defeats Adebutu, Others To Emerge Winner Of Ogun Guber Election
The incumbent Governor of Ogun State and candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Prince Dapo Abiodun, has been declared the winner of Saturday’s governorship election.
The Independent Electoral Commission Returning Officer in Ogun State, Professor Kayode Adebowale, announced this on Sunday at the state collation center in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Adebowale disclosed that Abiodun won the election with a total of 276 298 votes to defeat his closest rival, Oladipupo Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 262383.
He added that the APC candidate won with 10,000 votes to emerge victorious in the keenly-contested exercise.
