Wamakko Cast His Vote, Hails INEC Over Elections Conduct

A former Sokoto Governor, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the ongoing Governorship and Assembly polls in the state.

Wamakko made this known to reporters after casting his vote at the Gidan Kara Polling Unit 011 in the Wamakko Local Government Area of the state.

The APC Senator, who is also seeking to return to the National Assembly, also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the genuine and purposeful arrangement of the ongoing polls.

Wammakko said he is also impressed with the large turnout of votersWamm, and appealed to Nigerians to be peaceful and orderly while exercising their civil duties.

The former governor also hailed the process, which he described as the only means to restore confidence among voters given the peaceful atmosphere.
