Thugs Attack LP Assembly Candidate In Anambra Community

Thugs have reportedly attacked the Labour Party candidate for Awka South II constituency, Joseph Chukwujekwu Okeke, during the ongoing Anambra State assembly election.

Naija News learned that the thugs invaded the Nibo community in Awka South Local Government Area of the state on Saturday.

A viral video showed wounds on the body of the state assembly hopeful, just as his Toyota Camry car was vandalized by the hoodlums.

The video also revealed that some Police operatives arrived in the area shortly after and zoomed off to their office with Hon. Okeke.

Anambra state is one of the eight states in Nigeria where the governorship election will not be taking place on the same day as 28 others.
