Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Tamunominini, have voted in the ongoing governorship and house of assembly elections.

Naija News reports that Makinde and Tamunominini voted at PU11 in Ward 1 of Abayomi-Iwo Road, Ibadan north, this morning.

Speaking after exercising his civic responsibility, the incumbent governor seeking a second term in office, admonished residents to go out and vote.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate noted that he has ensured there is maximum security to maintain peace and order during the process.

My wife, @iamominini and I have cast our votes in the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Ibadan today. As promised, security is tight in Oyo State, so I encourage our people to go out and exercise their civic responsibility without fear,” Makinde wrote on his Twitter page.
