Voting has been said to have stopped in nine polling units in the in Gyetta Aure and Asibiti Wards of Donga Local Government Area of Taraba State.

A protest has erupted in some parts of the state as voters in that area have alleged that the ballot and results sheet was allegedly fake.

Naija News gathered from ICRI that voters in Gyetta Aure and Asibiti Wards of Donga Local Government Area in Taraba Southern Senatorial District are protesting over the discovery of fake ballot papers and election result sheets.

The protest has reportedly stopped the voting process in about nine polling units of the ward.

Giving an account of the incident, an election observer said voters are now discouraged to vote over the discovery of the alleged fake ballot papers and results.

It was also learnt that at the time of filing the report, all the electoral materials have been returned to the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the ward.
