Kate Henshaw Drags CBN Over Fresh Order On Old Naira Notes

Meanwhile, Kate Henshaw, has slammed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) after the apex bank bowed to the order of the supreme court on the usage of old N500 and N1000 Naira Notes.

The CBN spokesperson, Isa Abdulmumin, in a statement released on Monday, insisted that the old notes remain legal tender until December 31, 2023.

Prior to the decision of the federal government and CBN, Nigerians endured untold anguish and frustration and in some extreme cases lost their lives in the wake of the Naira crisis.

Reacting to the latest decision of the CBN, the actress via her Twitter handle on Tuesday tackled the apex bank, questioning the reason behind the policy if it would be discarded at the end of the day.
