Despite MC Oluomo’s Apology, APC Thugs Threaten Lagos Residents On Election Day

Thugs Allegedly Invade Imo PDP Assembly Candidate's House

Political thugs suspected to be members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, have warned residents against voting for other political parties in the Governorship and House of Assembly elections.

Naija News reports that this is coming hours after State Parks Management Committee Chairman, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, apologized over his threat to Igbos.

He had said: “Iya Chukwudi, if you do want to vote for us, abeg sit down for home ooo, we have begged you, people, don’t come out on election day.”

After the statement generated outrage, MC Oluomo, bowed to pressure and apologized saying it was a joke and a reference to his friend.

Notwithstanding, a video sighted online on Saturday morning captures some thugs warning Lagos residents to stay indoors if they are not voting for APC.

They shouted at the top of their voice that they would not allow a repeat of what happened during the presidential election.

Early Arrival Of Election Materials At Polling Units In Uyo

In other news, electoral officers were spotted at some polling units within Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital as early as 7: 30am.

Some of them were seen at Uyo Urban ward 21 and polling unit 12 pasting the voters’ list and a few voters were also seen at the polling units.
