Thugs Destroy BVAS, Electoral Materials In Delta

Thugs on Saturday morning destroyed all electoral materials, including the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) in Evwerni, Delta State.

According to Daily Trust, the thugs are suspected to be working for a former Delta lawmaker and a serving Commissioner.

Voting has been disrupted in all the polling units in Evwerni, Ughelli North Local Government Area.

The rampaging thugs also prevented journalists monitoring the elections from entering the community.

Ten BVAS Machines Stolen In Delta State (Video)

Ten Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) has been stolen in Delta State as electorates vote for their preferred governorship and house of assembly candidates.

An official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who confirmed the development in a video spotted online said they are still trying to check the units affected due to the missing BVAS.

The official call on security operatives at the collation centre to bring it out for them to count the remaining ones in the presence of the press.

After, counting, he noted that units should have 23 BVAS, however, 14 BVAS are being found at the INEC Centre.
