Delta: Suspected Thugs Burn Down Former Urhobo Leader’s House

The house of the former President-General of the Urhobo Progressive Union, Joe Omene in Mosogar, Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State has been burnt by suspected thugs.

Joe Omene is a supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State.

At the time of filing this report, it is not clear if any member of his family and himself sustained any injuries or if any was killed.

According to Daily Post, they have relocated to an undisclosed area for safety.

Ten BVAS Machines Stolen In Delta State (Video)

Ten Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) has been stolen in Delta State as electorates vote for their preferred governorship and house of assembly candidates.

An official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who confirmed the development in a video spotted online said they are still trying to check the units affected due to the missing BVAS.

The official call on security operatives at the collation centre to bring it out for them to count the remaining ones in the presence of the press.

After, counting, he noted that units should have 23 BVAS, however, 14 BVAS are being found at the INEC Centre.
