Newborn Baby Found Dead Under Bridge In Ibadan

There were mixed feelings on Wednesday morning in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, after a yet-to-be-identified newborn baby was reportedly found dead.

Naija News understands that the child’s lifeless body was founder under the bridge at the Uncle Joe area in Mokola, wrapped with black polythene.

There are speculations that the body might have been dropped on the spot early Wednesday before the arrival of passersby.

Security operatives are yet to confirm the sad development as of reporting time.

45-Year-Old Man Allegedly Rapes 10-Year-Old Girl In Ondo

Meanwhile, a 45-year-old man, Ojo Akerele, in the Idoani community, the Ose Local Government Area of Ondo state, has been arrested by the Police for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl.

Naija News reports that the state Police Public Relations Officer, Funmi Odunlami, disclosed this in an interview with journalists in Akure, the state capital, on Tuesday.

She said the suspect reportedly lured the minor to an uncompleted building where he defiled her after giving her the sum of N100.

According to the Police boss, the suspect claimed the victim and his friends usually collect N100 from him regularly.

She said, “A case of defilement was reported against one Ojo Akerele, 45, and he was subsequently arrested by security operatives.

“The victim,10, was lured to an uncompleted building by the suspect where he had carnal knowledge of her after giving her N100.

“The suspect claimed that the girl usually comes with her friend to collect N100 from him daily and that while she was asking for the money he drew her closer and had carnal knowledge of her.”
