Death Has Knocked At Our Door' - Costa Titch’s Family Reacts To Musician's Death

The family of South African musician, Costa Tsobanoglou, better known as Costa Titch, has expressed sadness over the death of their son.

Naija News earlier reported that Costa Titch died after collapsing on stage during his performance at the Ultra Music Festival in the early hours of Saturday.

The deceased rapper and dancer, who was born in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, in 1995, is known for several hits, including Nkalakatha and Activate.

In a statement on Sunday morning, the family of the 27-year-old rapper expressed grief at the sad incident, stating that death has robbed them of their beloved son.

The family appreciated the emergency responders and all those who were present in the last hours of the musicians on earth.

The family, therefore, asked fans of the late rapper and sympathizers for time and space to come to terms with the demise of their child.

The statement reads, “Death has tragically knocked at our door. Robbing us of our beloved son, brother, and grandson, Constantinos Tsobanoglou (28), who South Africa had come to love and idolize under his stage name “Costa Titch”.

“It is with deep pain that we find ourselves having to acknowledge his passing at this time. We are thankful for the emergency responders and all those who were present in his last hours on this earth. As a family, we are faced with a difficult time as we try to make sense of what has befallen us and ask that we be afforded the time and space to gather ourselves.”
