Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable has relocated his family following an attack on his elder sister by people he described as his old friends.
The musician via his Instagram page on Friday posted several videos showing the injuries he sustained while trying to intervene on behalf of his sister.
According to the management of the Zazu crooner, the attacks began in late February when some “street boys from Iyana Ilogbo community” vandalised his car.
Narrating the ordeal in Pidgin English, the singer said, “As you can see. This life as you dey make am, make you dey run from people. The more you grow, run from people. Dem no want your success. Dem don shook me o. Na my nigga shook me. I no know wetin he use shook me o. We don gather dey back in the days. Base on say I make am, na me still dey help am. He also shared a photo of his sister receiving treatment, and said, “Olopa ma ko everybody, see wetin oke osa boiz do my big sister. Akoi big problem.”
Portable recounted how he helped those who beat him up, stating that he was friends with them at some point, but separated from them when they became envious of his success.
The singer displayed a healed wound on his hand and claimed that he bought a motorcycle for the person who stabbed him there.
He said “locality and envy” are the reasons why his enemies will not “make it” as he did.
The management also called on the authorities to intervene, adding that the singer’s lawyers have been briefed and legal actions will be taken.
