President Buhari Celebrates Osinbajo At 66

The first citizen of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday celebrated his vice, Yemi Osinbajo on his 66th birthday.

President Buhari in a statement released through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina also felicitated with the entire Osinbajo family.

The President wished Osinbajo’s family many happy returns, as their son, husband and father turn another year, in good health and sound mind.

Buhari commended his vice for the sterling service he has provided to the country, as an academic, Attorney-General of Lagos State (1997-2007), and Vice President (2015 till date).

Buhari applauded the deft way Osinbajo, a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has combined scholarship with governance, and pastoral work, commending such dedication to the younger generation whom the number 2 man serves as a torchbearer.

The statement reads, “President Buhari wishes the Vice President and his family joyful celebration, and greater grace ahead.”

Buhari To Receive ECOWAS Award Despite Controversy On Presidential Election

In other news, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is set to confer the Democracy Icon Award on President Buhari.

Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu, made this known in a statement released on Wednesday titled ‘ECOWAS to confer democracy icon award on President Buhari.’

Shehu said the Chairman of the regional bloc and President of Guinea Bissau, Umaro Embalo, will confer the award on the Nigerian leader.

The presidential spokesman added that Buhari will have his name on the roll of honour in the ECOWAS’ new headquarters building upon its completion in Abuja.
