LP’s Rhodes-Vivour Reacts As Thugs Set Ablaze Spare Parts Market In Lagos
The Labour Party ( LP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) has condemned the burning of the spare parts market at Kirikiri road Ajegunle, Ajeromi Ifelodun in Lagos by unknown arsonists.
Naija News reports that suspected hoodlums at the wee hours of Wednesday 8th, March 2023, attacked the spare parts market, which is mostly dominated by the Igbos.
The incident is coming days after some politicians in Lagos State alleged that Igbos plan to take over Lagos through the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.
Reacting to the unfortunate incident, GRV via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, condemned the attack whilst urging the security operatives to ensure that the culprits behind the hideous act be brought to book.
In his words: “I’m deeply concerned by reports of ethnically motivated violence reported targeting businesses across Lagos. Lagos is a beautiful state built on cooperation and harmony.
“These attacks stand condemned. I urge the Commissioner of Police to urgently investigate these and bring culprits to book.”
