Watch How Peter Obi Responded To Emotional Request From Family Of Woman Attacked By Thugs During Presidential Election

The emotional interaction between the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and the family of the woman, Jennifer Efidi who was attacked by some thugs in Lagos State during the February 25 election has surfaced on social media.

As seen in the trending video, the family after interacting with Obi indoors, told him not to give up and expressed their love for the former Anambra State Governor.

Naija News recalls Obi paid a visit to the woman days after the election day incident.

Efidi was attacked during the presidential election at a polling unit in Surulere during Saturday’s presidential election in Lagos State but despite the injury to her face, the victim did not allow the attack to deter her from exercising her voting right as she later joined the queue to cast her vote.

In a post via Twitter, Peter Obi shared photos of his visit to Jennifer saying he also expressed concern for every Nigerian who suffered a similar fate during the election.

According to the former governor of Anambra State, he acknowledges Jennifer’s bravery and resoluteness.

In his words: “Today, I visited Mrs Jennifer Efidi. She was attacked on 25th February in an attempt to stop her from voting, but she stood her ground. Jennifer is one of the great icons of Nigeria’s democracy.

“She is my point of contact with every Nigerian who suffered a similar fate in their bid to exercise their voting rights, and contribute to a new Nigeria. Like many Nigerians, I acknowledge her bravery and resoluteness. Jennifer is a true manifestation of Profiles in Courage for a new Nigeria.”

However, a fresh video has emerged of what transpired in the farewell between Obi and the family of the woman as the LP candidate was departing from their Lagos residence.

Her family said; “Sir, we love you, we love you with all our heart. Please don’t give up.

In response, Peter Obi: ‘No No No,’ an indication that he won’t give up.
