Keyamo Reacts As Wike Mocks Atiku, Others Over Protest At INEC Headquarters

The Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo, has mocked the Peoples Democratic Party, over the protest at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja.

Naija News reported that the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, including the party’s chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, and other leaders and supporters gathered at the Legacy House, Maitama, on Monday, wearing black clothes as they marched to the INEC National Headquarters.

This is coming barely a week after INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu announced the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, as President-elect.

Reacting via Twitter, Keyamo mocked Atiku and the leaders of PDP, describing the protest as a funeral procession.

While addressing the PDP members as undertakers, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, said the party failed in the election over the refusal to adhere to the principle of zoning.

He wrote: “The adorning of black dresses by the PDP leaders in their protest to INEC office did the right thing because the event was actually a funeral procession.

“The undertakers of PDP who refused to adhere to the principle of zoning took the corpse to the gates of INEC for proper burial”
