The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  Abdullahi Adamu, has met with the party’s governors ahead of Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections.

Naija News reports that this was made known via a tweet shared on the APC Twitter handle on Tuesday.

The meeting which was held on Tuesday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja also had members of the National Working Committee in attendance.

Aside from the governors, all of the party’s flag bearers in the March 11 polls were in the meeting.

The post reads: “Ahead of the Saturday, 11th March 2023 Governorship and State Assembly Elections, the National Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu alongside members of the National Working Committee met with the Party’s Governors and other flag bearers at the National Secretariat, in Abuja.”

Adamu Fires PDP, LP

Meanwhile, Abdullahi Adamu, has berated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) over their calls for the cancellation of the just-concluded presidential election.

Recall that the two opposition parties had on Tuesday called for the cancellation of the February 25 presidential election and demanded a fresh election.

The PDP and the LP, at a joint press conference in Abuja, also called for the resignation of the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Yakubu Mahmood.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, Adamu said the calls by the PDP and LP for the cancellation of the just-concluded election over unproven allegations of electoral fraud is the height of diabolical desperation.

According to the APC chairman, the conduct of the two political parties at the National Colation center is shameful and an attempt to sabotage the country.

Adamu also accused the two opposition parties of attempting to turn the victory of the APC flagbearer, Bola Tinubu, to ashes in the mouths of Nigerians.
