Former Director of the Civil Society directorate of the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hajiya Naja’atu Mohammed, joined hundreds of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members who stormed the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday (today).

Naija News reported earlier that the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), stormed the national headquarters of the INEC in Abuja today to protest the commission’s declaration of APC candidate, Bola Tinubu, as February 25th presidential election winner.

The protest was led by PDP national chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, and accompanied by top stakeholders of the party supporters who all gathered at the Legacy House Maitama to begin the protest March this morning.

Hajiya Naja’atu, who recently became a strong critic of APC’s Tinubu, also joined the protest today. A former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, shared a photo of her at the protest ground.

Sharing the photo of Naja’atu and himself on Twitter, Sani captioned: “The Abuja street protests today;I met Comrade Najaatu Mohammed the Inseparable friend of Comrade President Asiwaju Tinubu.”

Naija News recalls that Naja’atu dumped the ruling party weeks before the 2023 general elections and has since continued to criticise the APC presidential candidate and the leadership of the party.

She had made several allegations against the former Governor of Lagos State.

Kano PDP Paralysed, Party Can’t Win Guber Election

In another post via his microblogging platform, Senator Shehu Sani said that the Kano State branch of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is in an irredeemable shape, and there’s no chance the party will win the election.

Recall that PDP presidential candidate, Atiku, came a distant third in the state in the just concluded February 25 presidential election.

Taking to his Twitter page today, Sani wrote: “PDP in Kano is in a state of paralysis. A vote for the Governorship is a waste.”

The former lawmaker made the post ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial election, Naija News reports.
