Funke Akindele Reacts As Ruth Kadiri Endorses Deputy Candidate Few Days To Governorship Polls

Nollywood actress cum politician, Funke Akindele has extended gratitude to her colleague, Ruth Kadiri-Ezerika after she publicly pledged to support her political bid as the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos.

Naija News understands that Funke received very little support from her colleagues since her emergence as the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos.

Funke Akindele’s colleagues including best friend, Eniola Badmus have been politically divided over their support for preferred presidential and governorship candidates.

However, on Monday, Ruth threw her weight behind Jenifa’s Diary producer.

She listed her reasons for supporting Funke, noting that the latter is smart and hardworking.

“It’s election season! And @funkejenifaakindele is my candidate. The reasons being; You’re hardworking. You’re smart. You’re tough. You’re emotional. Above all you’re disciplined.

“You dare to tread where others won’t fly. You’re a risk taker. I know you’re a filmmaker. I trust you will do a good job. You have my vote,” Ruth wrote.

In the comment section, Funke expressed gratitude to her colleague for the support with the words, “Thank you Ruth.”
