The President-elect of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday visited the oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwanu Akiolu.

Tinubu was accompanied on the visit by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu who is also the APC candidate for the March 11 governorship election.

Naija News understands they visited the Oba of Lagos at his Iga-Iduganran Palace and the purpose of the visit was to present Tinubu’s Certificate of Return to Lagosians and the Oba of Lagos.

Below are pictures from the visit.

We’ll Defend Tinubu’s Mandate

The Directorate of Agro Commodities in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has vowed to defend the victory of its flag bearer, Bola Tinubu by “every means necessary”.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election after defeating Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and sixteen other contestants.

Following the declaration by the electoral umpire, Atiku and Obi, not satisfied with the outcome of the presidential poll, filed petitions at the presidential election tribunal challenging the victory of Tinubu.

Addressing a press conference in Abuja on Saturday, Governor Bello Abubakar of Niger State and Head of the Directorate, said Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima have the nation’s mandate to rule for the next four years.

Abubakar said Tinubu and Shettima won the just-concluded election because of their achievements in Lagos and Borno states.

The governor, however, asked those that are not satisfied with the result of the election, to peacefully seek redress at the court as provided by the constitution.
