LP Candidate’s Victory: ‘Elections Were Rigged Against Banky W’ – Daddy Freeze Claims
Nigerian media personality, Daddy Freeze, has weighed in on the controversy surrounding the victory of the Labour Party (LP) House of Representatives-elect for Eti-Osa Federal constituency, Thaddeus Attah.
Naija News earlier reported that Attah defeated popular singer, Banky W, and Babjide, son of Musiliu Obanikoro, a former minister of state for defence, at the polls.
The shocking defeat has remained a subject of discussion online especially as many celebrities had envisaged Banky’s victory at the poll.
Reacting, Daddy Freeze during an Instagram live session claimed that the election was rigged against Banky W as a result of emotions and sentiments.
According to him, Thaddeus is not popular as Banky W nor campaigned vigorously for the election, yet he still emerged victorious.
He noted that people should also stop complaining about the presidential election being rigged by the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, considering what was done to Banky W.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawo questioned Thaddeus on his plans for Eti-Osa as the Honourable-Elect and urged him to come public with his identity as well as his pedigree.
According to the thespian, he has done thorough research about the LP’s candidate and is yet to find anything about his profile and manifesto for Eti-Osa.
Deyemi in his open letter said he voted for popular Nigerian singer and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, BankyW, and he feels that the singer is the best candidate for the job.
The actor further requested Thaddeus for an Instagram live session in order to address concerns and respond to questions.
However, the lengthy letter earned him criticism online from many Nigerians who claimed the man merits the position and Banky W’s loss was due to his party.
