The Chief Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC), Festus Keyamo, has said the opposition parties lost the just-concluded presidential election because they failed to form an alliance.

In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday, Keyamo said in order to kick out the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015, different parties merged to form the APC and it won.

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment said that for PDP to kick APC out of power, it fragmented into three opposing parties namely Labour Party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and PDP.

According to the APC chieftain, it is not difficult to see the reason the opposition parties failed to win the last Saturday’s presidential election.

He wrote: “In order to kick out the ruling PDP in 2015, different parties merged to form the APC and it won; but for PDP to kick APC out of power, it fragmented into Labour Party, NNPP and PDP. If you remove emotions for one moment, it is not difficult to see why the opposition parties lost.”

2023 Election Result: Either Peter Obi Or Atiku Is Lying – Oshiomhole

A former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole has declared that one of Peter Obi or Atiku Abubakar is lying about the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.

Naija News recalls Obi was the Labour Party (LP) candidate while Atiku was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer for the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria held on Saturday, February 25.

However, according to the figures declared early on Wednesday morning by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the election was won by the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu while Atiku and Obi placed second and third respectively.

But the duo of Atiku and Obi in separate press conferences on Thursday about the outcome of the election claimed to have emerged victorious at the polls and vowed to follow the legal route to reclaim their mandates.

Reacting to the claims, Oshiomhole during an interview with Channels TV on Thursday said one of the two candidates must be lying as both of them can’t win at the same time.

The former APC chairman said both Atiku and Obi are accusing one another of rigging each other out of the second position.

He claimed Tinubu won the contest fair and square but the other top contestants do not want to concede defeat.
