Buhari’s Minister Reacts As IBB Congratulates Tinubu

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has commended former Military President, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) over his congratulatory message to the president-elect, Bola Tinubu.

Recall that Babangida had congratulated the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his victory in the just-concluded presidential election.

In a statement released through his media aide, Abdulrauf Idris, the former Nigerian leader said he is happy that Tinubu is elected president in his lifetime, adding that he is the man for the job.

Babangida also called on other presidential candidates to join hands with Tinubu in the business of developing the nation, stressing that the work of nation-building requires that all hands must be on deck.

IBB commended INEC for conducting an election he believes will lead to a new Nigeria and further appealed to other candidates to see the emergence of the Tinubu as the will of God.

Reacting to the statement of the former military president, Keyamo hailed Babangida over his comments on the victory of the APC flagbearer in the presidential election.

He wrote: “Thank you, sir.”
