'I Have Mixed Feelings' - Seyi Law Begs Nigerians After Supporting Tinubu To Victory
Nigerian Comedian, Seyi Law

Nigerian comedian, Oluwaseyitan Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, has apologized to Nigerians, most especially supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded 2023 presidential election.

Naija News reports that Seyi Law was an ardent supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who became the winner of the February 25th presidential election.

Taking to his social media page hours after Tinubu’s victory, Law expressed concerns about the reactions of the opposition party supporters.

The comedian said he has mixed feelings about the anger expressed by the supporters of the Obi and Atiku’s camp and not because his preferred candidate won the election.

Law said he was sorry he sees things differently from their perspectives and that was why he supported Tinubu.

In a post via his Instagram page on Wednesday, Law commended how people were passionate towards their preferred candidates.

He, however, urged Nigerians not to develop bitterness and hatred towards one another. He added that if another candidate had won the election, he would have as well prayed and work for the success of the lucky candidate.

Seyi Law’s post read: “My fellow Nigerians, I’m happy you are as passionate as you are about your preferred candidates. That is the way politics should be. However, hatred and bitterness towards each other shouldn’t have a place between us.

“You might not see things the way I see it. That doesn’t mean I’m right and you are wrong. It just means that we are different. (heartfulness.org) If your candidates had won, I would have prayed and worked for their successes and mine.

“I apologise to those offended by my support. I seriously condemn all the violence across Nigeria. I have mixed feelings for your genuine anger and not for my candidate’s winning. I, however, pray that Nigerians’ lives get better.”
