The PUNCH: The Independent National Electoral Commission has shrugged off demands by various stakeholders, including political parties, to pause the ongoing collation and declaration of the results of Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections over allegations of electoral manipulation and compromise


The Guardian: Three days after, tension is rising in the land over long wait for the outcome of Saturday’s presidential election. After failing to resolve the slow down of electronic transmission of results into the result viewing portal (IReV), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), yesterday, resumed collation of results.

The Nation: Election observers, the National Peace Committee and the All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday cautioned against any attempt to abort the process leading to the final announcement of the presidential poll results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).


Daily Trust: The Chairperson of the Commonwealth Observer Group and former president of South Africa, Thabo Mbeki, yesterday said Nigeria’s 2023 general elections were “largely peaceful” despite administrative and logistics hurdles at many polling units.
