Peter Obi Casts Vote In Anambra, Speaks On Stepping Down For Atiku [Video/Photos]
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has cast his vote in the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Naija News reports that Obi exercised his franchise at polling unit 019, Ward 2, in Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The former Governor of Anambra State cast his vote alongside his wife, Margaret, and other LP chieftains, around 11:43 am amid cheers from his supporters.
Speaking with journalists after exercising his franchise, Obi dismissed the rumour he had stepped down for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar, adding that he could not step down for anybody.
The LP flagbearer also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a well-organized presidential election and hoped the exercise will be peaceful elsewhere as it was in his ward.
Obi’s major opponents in the election include Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
