A few hours before the commencement of the 2023 presidential election, some Lagosians gathered around the bourdillon residence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Naija News reports that Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, is contesting in today’s election to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

He is up against long-term friend and ally Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party; former Anambra State governor Peter Obi of the Labour Party; and the New Nigeria Peoples Party candidate, former Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Naija News reports that Tinubu’s residence has become a beehive of activities as the election drew closer.

Many Lagosians, as gathered, usually encamp around the premises hoping to receive cash, foodstuffs, and other things from the top APC chieftain or visitors to the house.

Recall that during the 2019 presidential election, where Buhari was elected for a second term, Tinubu attracted controversy when two bullion vans were seen entering his famous residence, with many speculating that the vans were filled with cash to allegedly buy votes.
