#NigeriaDecides: Bauchi Governor, Mohammed Casts Votes, Applauds INEC

The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, and his wife, Aisha, have cast their votes at Bakin Dutse, 008 Polling Unit, Yelwan Duguri in the Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state.

Naija News reports that the governor shortly after casting his vote, expressed satisfaction with the maturity being exhibited by the electorates in the state.

He applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the introduction of various reforms, especially the Bi-Modal Voters Accreditation System.

The governor also urged the teeming supporters of his party to remain focused and not engage in any electoral malpractice for the smooth conduct of the elections in the state.

He said: “I am highly fulfilled and accomplished. We give praise and gratitude to our creator, the Almighty Allah that has made us to see this day that we are electing our new president and national assembly members after so many fears.

“I want to express my satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the polls in my polling unit, definitely we can say democracy is progressing.

Also speaking, the First Lady, applauded the full participation of women in the process in her polling unit and urged them not to relent in supporting the process for democratic development.
