The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has blasted the ‘Nigerian state’ over the organization of the 2023 presidential and national assembly elections.

Omoyele Sowore who contested the 2019 presidential election without making much impact in terms of number votes garnered, did the same in Saturday’s presidential poll.

However, the only positive news from his camp is how well he performed in his local government, Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, especially in the Polling Unit 14, Aaron Quarter, Ese Odo LGA where he beat all the major contenders.

In the said polling unit, Sowore garnered 53 votes, two votes more than the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and eight votes more than the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.

As the results from other polling units began to trickle in, Sowore took to his Twitter page to write: “The Nigerian state cannot do anything right – no capacity to conduct elections, no capacity to run an economy, no capacity to run educational institutions, no capacity to do anything right. Now you know! #RevolutionNow #WeCantContinueLikeThis”.
