Enugu: Why We Can't Collapse Structure For Labour Party - APGA

The Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ohofia Agba Ward in the Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Monday Idoko has been reported dead.

Naija News reports that unknown gunmen reportedly shot Idoko in the head in his Onueke village, in the Ezza South Council, of the state at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

Information gathered indicates that the armed men were reported to have entered the village, and dragged him out while asleep before shooting him in the head.

A relative who spoke confided in The Punch disclosed that “My brother the story is very traumatic. It was a family member that alerted me that some unknown armed persons came to their house just before midnight, broke in and dragged him out before shooting him in the head.

“We wanted to rush him to the hospital but he died in the village. We have been in a mourning mood since last night.”

It was also learnt that another chieftain of the party who lives in the same area confirmed the incident saying the victim was making preparation for arrangements of a rescheduled visit to the area by the APGA governorship candidate, Prof Benard Odoh, before the incident.

The APGA supporter who pleaded anonymity said it rather unfortunate Idoko’s life was cut short by the underworld, as he was a loyal member of the party.
