I Will Create Prosperity For All Nigerian Family - President Tinubu

Reports have indicated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu may become the biggest beneficiary of the naira redesign policy initiated by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Naija News recalls that Tinubu had during the APC presidential campaign rally held at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on January 26 claimed that the fuel and cash scarcity were aimed at sabotaging his chances at the polls.

Tinubu’s loyalist while speaking with a Punch correspondent said that the APC flag bearer has won the hearts of Nigerians by openly condemning the Naira redesigned policy which has brought untold hardships in the lives of Nigerians.

A chieftain of the APC and close associate of Tinubu, Senator Adesoji Akanbi, noted that though other political parties and their candidates also needed cash to prosecute their campaigns and have been equally affected by the CBN policy, the ruling party’s candidate might get swing votes as a result.

Akanbi said, “It might end up favouring Asiwaju that they were targeting. A lot of people are realising that it is all because of him. It is becoming a rhythm. There will be sympathy votes because people believe it is targeted at him, and the mere fact that he said it out that he was against the policy. That will be like a bonus for him.”

According to the APC chieftain, Tinubu’s imminent victory was evidenced by the large crowds at the recent presidential campaign rallies despite that cash scarcity was frustrating the masses.

Another APC leader in the South-West geopolitical zone, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said Tinubu would be “sold” to the electorate as the “lover of the masses” among the presidential candidates, going by his disposition to the “anti-people policies” of the current regime.
