Neymar is up for sale this summer according to reports in France, and Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has had a meeting with Paris St. Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to discuss the possibility of buying the Brazilian forward.

Chelsea are longing to bring Neymar who is currently 31-year-old to Stamford Bridge next summer according to the French publication, Le Parisien.

Naija News recalls that PSG splashed around £200 million to sign Neymar from Barcelona in 2017. His current contract with PSG will expire in 2025.

Even at his current age, Neymar Jr. would still be unwilling to join any football team cheaply.

The news that Chelsea are in negotiations spread a few days after the Brazilian revealed he had a dispute with the club director Luis Campos.

Luis Campos allegedly started the argument after PSG’s defeat to AS Monaco on Saturday. Campos claimed that some players of the club lacked courage and even appeared disheartened.

Neymar Jr. and his club captain Marquinhos found the charges to be too much to handle, so they rebelled, escalating the fight.

Despite that, Neymar played on Tuesday against Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16, but he was unable to guide the squad to victory as they lost by a lone goal.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian attacker has flourished this season in the center of PSG’s attack under Christophe Galtier.

He is a part of the potent offensive trifecta for the Parisians, which also features Lionel Messi of Argentina and Kylian Mbappe.

During the 2022–23 season, he scored seventeen (17) goals and provided sixteen (16) assists in 28 games across all competitions.

By signing with Barcelona in July 2013, Neymar transitioned from the Santos FC league in Brazil to the European scene.

During his four seasons with the Catalan Giants, he appeared in hundred and eighty-six (186) games and scored hundred and five (105) goals.

Additionally, with 77 goals in 124 games, he and the late Pele hold the record for the most goals scored for Brazil’s national team.
