2023: Massive Crowd Welcomes Peter Obi In Nnewi (Photos)

The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi on Tuesday stormed the city of Nnewi in Anambra State to mobilize support ahead of the February 25 elections.

Obi during the visit where he was welcomed by a massive crowd of supporters promised to create an enabling environment for businesses if elected as the next President of Nigeria.

The former Anambra State Governor observed that Nnewi which is a commercial and industrial city has continued to contribute to the growth of the Nigerian economy.

Taking to Twitter where he shared pictures from the visit, Peter Obi wrote: “Earlier today, I visited the commercial and industrial city of Nnewi. Nnewi has continued to contribute to the growth of the Nigerian economy, As a political and business leader, I will create an enabling environment for businesses. -PO”

As part of the visit, Peter Obi also paid a courtesy call on the Obi of Otolo and Igwe of Nnewi Kingdom, Igwe Dr. Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu III.

Why I Campaign In Market Places

Meanwhile, Naija News earlier reported that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has explained why he always takes his campaigns for the 2023 presidency to the market.

He described the markets as the place that reinforces his strategy about taking Nigeria from consumption to production and meet those that matter in achieving his aim.

According to Obi, functional markets are the roots, and visiting them allows him to hear the problems of traders, business people, industrialists, and agriculturalists so as to be able to make promises of a better time for them.
