Fani-Kayode Sends Message To Israel Over Deadly Palestinan Attacks

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has narrated his experience on Monday in the hands of the Department of State Services (DSS) operatives.

The former Minister and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said he was grilled for five hours and if he were to choose, he won’t want to go back there.

Though he said the operatives were professional and didn’t torture him, the experience wasn’t palatable.

Naija News recalls Fani-Kayode was summoned to the DSS office in Abuja where he was interrogated over his claims of a possible coup plot between some military generals and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

He was subsequently released on bail after hours of gruesome grilling by the secret police.

Addressing a press conference after he was released, Fani-Kayode revealed that he was asked to return on Wednesday for further grilling as he had not been discharged.

According to him, DSS detention is not a place anybody would want to go.

He said, “I spent about five hours. I was subjected to thorough grilling; they were very thorough and highly professional in their interrogation. And I was asked to go back on Wednesday for further interrogation.

“The place anybody wouldn’t want to go, I think is the DSS. If I were to do it a second time, I won’t tweet this same way.”

We Could Have Challenged Them

Also speaking at the press conference, the Director Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga said the party could have challenged the action of the DSS if they had not released Fani-Kayode today.

He said the lawyers were on hand to do the needful but since the former Minister was not detained beyond today and the operatives were professional, there is no need for any action on their part.

“We were worried when we heard that FFK was invited by the DSS.

“So we contacted our lawyers and our lawyers followed him to the DSS headquarters. If he was detained beyond today, we would have challenged it. We would have taken further steps. But he said the DSS officials were very professional,” Onanuga said.
