Reactions As Shehu Sani Tells CBN To Allow The Police Share New Naira Notes To Nigerians

Former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Shehu Sani has urged the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to allow the Police to distribute the new naira notes to the public.

Sani in a statement on Saturday said since the commercial banks have been hoarding the new naira notes, the Police should be allowed to take over the responsibility.

According to him, the CBN should allocate the new notes to the Police for onward distribution to the public.

Naija News however observed the statement could have been a sarcastic one from the former lawmaker.

He wrote: “Since the commercial Banks are hoarding the new notes, the CBN should allocate the notes to the police to share to the public.”
