Ebonyi PDP Guber Candidate Reacts As Truck Hits His APC Counterpart’s Convoy

The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State, Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, has reacted to the unfortunate accident involving his counterpart in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Francis Nwifuru.

Naija News reported earlier that the APC governorship candidate escaped death in a fatal accident on Friday.

It was gathered that a truck rammed into Nwifuru’s convoy while he was returning from a campaign rally at the Uburu community Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state.

The truck reportedly crushed the armoured car conveying the governorship candidate of the APC, leaving it beyond repair. The accident happened in the Amagu community around Timber shade Abakaliki.

Reacting to the incident, Odii described the accident as unfortunate and thanked God for sparing the lives of the people involved.

Naija News reports that the PDP guber candidate commiserated with Nwifuru in a statement signed by the party’s Media and Publicity Campaign Deputy Director, Moses Idika.

Odii further urged all Ebonyians, especially candidates of various political parties, to imbibe the spirit of decorum and decency while going about their campaigns.

He stated that it is only God that gives power and that his political party believed in peace and unity, noting that no ambition is worth the life of any Ebonyian.
