VIDEO: How Can Buhari Be Here And You Will Reject? – Tinubu ‘Threatens’ Sultan Of Sokoto Over Endorsement

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, subtly dared the Sultan of Sokoto for endorsement during a visit to Sokoto State for his campaign rally.

Naija News reports that Tinubu, alongside President Muhammadu Buhari, and other chieftains of APC visited the spiritual leader of Nigerian Muslims, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, at his palace.

Speaking at Sultan’s palace, Tinubu reiterated that his party wants to win the election and their visit was to seek his blessing and endorsement, which he cannot reject.

In what seemed like a drama twist, the former governor of Lagos State said the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces (Buhari) cannot be at the place and the Sultan will reject the request to endorse him.

As Tinubu spoke, those in attendance laughed and clapped.

Tinubu Campaign Council Demands Emefiele’s Sack

In related news, the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council has called for the sack of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, over the new naira notes scarcity.

Naija News reports that the Director of Media and Publicity for the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, made the call in an interview on Thursday in Abuja.

Onanuga asserted the apex bank chief does not deserve to remain in office following the protests across the country that trailed the new naira notes scarcity and the deadline for the old naira notes.

He said President Muhammadu Buhari should have sacked Emefiele for subjecting Nigerians through harrowing experiences and untold hardship in the past two weeks and sabotaging the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the process.
