Social Media Influencer, Adeherself Reacts To Reports Of Being Re-arraigned Over Alleged N7.9 Million Fraud
Popular media influencer and comedienne, Adedamola Adewale, popularly known as Adeherself, has reacted to reports of being re-arraigned for alleged N7.9 million internet fraud.
Naija News earlier reported that Adeherself was charged alongside two others at large on a three-count of conspiracy to obtain money by false pretences, attempt to obtain money by false pretences, and retention of proceeds of criminal conduct. The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty.
The counsel to the anti-graft agency, Samuel Daji told the court that the case was re-assigned and prayed the court to remand the suspect pending the commencement of the trial.
Daji argued that the case was new before the court and there was a need for proper bail application by the defence.
The social media influencer took to her Instagram page to call out some of the blogs and newspapers that reported the news.
Adeherself described the news as baseless and expressed displeasure over how the media gets called in even for the slightest attention.
She wrote: “When the news doesn’t favor them, they ask the media to stay back! But when there is an opportunity for the attention they call the media asap!
“So baseless!.. I believe if news should be properly followed up, it should be from the beginning to the end! Not a one-sided story!! I tag myself!! Tell the media what went down in court even before now, period. To avoid stress Biko”
