What Funke Akindele’s Mom Did To Me Before Her Death – Popular Nollywood Actress

Popular Nollywood actress, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, has commiserated with her colleague, Funke Akindele, over the death of her mother.

Naija News earlier reported that the news of Mrs Adebanjo-Akindele’s death was made known by Funke’s elder sister, Olubunmi Akindele in a statement via Instagram on Tuesday evening.

According to the statement released on behalf of the family, their mother died on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Reacting in a post shared on Instagram, Ronke Oshodi-Oke said she was opportuned to meet Funke’s mother once.

According to her, the deceased prayed for her like her own child and she was surprised by the sad news of her death.

She further condoled with Funke Akindele adding that God knows the best.

She said: “I met you just once, and you prayed for me like your own child. To my suprise I heard this sad news today, continue to rest in peace ma. @funkejenifaakindele sorry for your loss, God knows the best”

Sanwo-Olu Reaches Out To Funke

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, on Tuesday, sympathized with Funke Akindele and her family.

According to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, the death of a loved one is a very painful episode but families must be consoled by the good life of the deceased.

The governor prayed for the reposed soul of the deceased and for God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
