Man United Will Beat Arsenal Without Casemiro, Ten Hag Insists

Due to his suspension, Manchester United’s Casemiro will not play against Arsenal on Sunday, but manager Erik ten Hag is certain that his club will succeed without the Brazilian.

Casemiro will not be able to play against Arsenal, who are eight points ahead of United, after receiving his fifth caution of the season in the 80th minute of the 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

He hardly played the final 10 minutes of the 3-1 win over Arsenal in September. As a result, United’s head coach believes his team will do the same without the prolific midfielder.

Ahead of the Premier League clash which will kick off at 17:30 on Sunday, coach Erik ten Hag said: “We beat them without Casemiro – now we have to do the same.

“He’s a really important player for us and a reason we’re in this position.

“We were winning, controlling the game, and an unlucky moment. We have to take that and move on and make the best plan for Arsenal.”

Last night, Bruno Fernandes’ goal gave United a 1-0 advantage over Palace at the time Casemiro was cautioned for a late push on Eagles winger Wilfried Zaha.

Eight minutes earlier, they had demanded a penalty after Scott McTominay was fouled by Chris Richards just inside the Palace penalty area.

The evening of the visitors became worse when Michael Olise equalized with a stunning free kick in stoppage time.

United have lost just once in 20 games in all competitions and are currently third in the Premier League, tied on points with Manchester City.

Since joining for £70 million from Real Madrid, where he won the Champions League five times, Casemiro, 30, has been an essential part of United’s revival. Hence, he will be greatly missed on Sunday.
