Peter Obi Reacts To Okupe's Money Laundering Conviction

Former Director-General of the Labour Party (LP) presidential campaign council, Doyin Okupe, has sparked mixed reactions over his daughter’s graduation from a foreign University.

Naija New reports that the LP chieftain via Twitter revealed that his daughter bagged a second degree at Hull University in England but couldn’t make the event.

He apologized to his daughter for the absence and prayed to God for new opportunities.

According to him, the graduation ceremony coincided with the visit of the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, at the Chatham House, and politics is about sacrifice and commitment.

He wrote: “My darling daughter Moradeke Okupe graduated wt a 2nd degree 3dy @ Hull University.I love u so much Keke & I pray God will open new ways 4u & bless u.Sorry I could not attend though I am in the UK bcos it concided wt the Obi’s lecture.Politics is about sacrifice and commitment.”

The post sparked mixed reactions with some people congratulated Doyin Okupe’s daughter saying the father is fighting for a new Nigeria, while others faulted LP supporters saying they failed to criticize Doyin as one of the politicians who also send their children to school abroad.
