Atiku Reacts To Nigeria’s 1,411 Delegates To COP28 Summit
PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar

The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council (PDP-PCC) has maintained that the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is sweeping the votes in Kogi State come February 25, 2023.

The opposition party acknowledged that it faltered along the line but has now returned to the trenches and would ensure victory for Atiku in Kogi State and other states in the forthcoming general elections.

Naija News understands that the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC) in Kogi had accused the PDP of hiring supporters during its campaign rally in the state.

The ruling camp was making reference to last Saturday’s campaign rally, where a massive crowd received Atiku in the APC domain. APC claimed the crowd was rented from neighbouring States.

Reacting to the ruling party’s claim, PDP Head of Media and Publicity in the state, Austin Ochu, said on Monday that the allegation was ‘strange and laughable’ as the PDP never engaged in such.

The spokesperson noted that the APC is jittery about going into next month’s contest. Ochu said Nigerians are tired of the APC administration and desperately want change. “The time for that change is now”, he said.

He referred to Kogi as a PDP State, adding that the party was ready to make amends and assume power.

“We only faltered along the way but thank God we have gone back to the trenches,” Ochu said, adding that the APC has been “flapping around” because the message “is very clear that the game is over”.

Tinubu Should Be The One To Be Prosecuted – Dino Melaye

Meanwhile, the spokesman and Director of Public Affairs of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Dino Melaye, has said the presidential candidate of the ruling APC, Bola Tinubu, is not fit to be the next President.

Naija News reports that Melaye stated this while speaking in an interview on Channels Television.

The former Kogi West Senator asserted that the APC flag bearer should be the person who is expected to be investigated and prosecuted for alleged corruption and drug dealings.

He said: “He is the one that has been indicted already in a certified court indictment. He is the man that has faced the Code of Conduct before.”

Speaking on the corruption allegations against his principal, Melaye said the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is not afraid of being investigated.

The PDP chieftain stated that Atiku remains the most investigated Nigerian, who has always submitted himself for investigation several times in the country.

He said, “Atiku Abubakar is a democrat, he’s a Nigerian. He has always been available for investigation. He has been investigated time and time again and come out very clean with clean status.

“So, you do not need the permission of Atiku to investigate him. We are not afraid of an investigation, because he’s the most investigated Nigerian and if you investigate him again he will come out clean.”
