Tinubu's Certificate Saga: Peter Obi Is Just A Pathetic Desperado - Reno Omokri

Former presidential aide and social-political activist, Reno Omokri, took to social media on Monday to highlight three reasons why Nigerians should not vote for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, in the forthcoming election.

Naija News understands that Omokri has been a critic of Obi since the former Governor of Anambra State dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to join the 2023 presidential race on the platform of the LP.

Recall that Obi was the running mate to Atiku in the 2019 general elections before he withdrew his membership from the PDP.

Taking to his verified Twitter handle today, Omokri said Nigerians cannot waste their votes on a stingy candidate like Obi.

He warned Nigerian students against voting for the LP presidential candidate, saying that their years of graduation from school will be extended if they cast their vote for the Obi-Datti movement.

Civil Servants Salary

Omokri quoted Obi’s popular saying ‘I no de give shishi’ to say that the former governor if elected will instead of increasing civil servants’ salaries, hold on to his stinginess.

He said: “As a civil servant, do you want a stingy President who won’t increase salary? Are you able to live on your ₦18k minimum wage? You think tight-fisted Peter Obi will increase it? You don forget say he no dey give shishi? Vote for Waziri Atiku and earn a living wage!”

Obi Obeys IPOB

Again, Omokri criticized Obi saying he religiously obeys the sit-at-home order by the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), hence, should not be voted for in the coming election.

According to him, a vote for Obi will birth another cry for marginalization after 2023.

“Votes are not meant to be wasted. They are meant to be weighted. Don’t waste your vote on a candidate who religiously and scrupulously obeys IPOB sit at home orders, then you start crying marginalisation after 2023. Make your vote carry much weight, not much waste,” the PDP supporter said.

ASUU Strike

Omokri alleged in his Twitter post that medical doctors went on strike for over a year in Anambra State under Obi’s administration as a governor.

He stressed that over 26 million Nigerian students eligible to vote in the coming election should not waste their votes on the LP candidate, or else they should expect the mother of all strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

He said: “Students should note that under Peter Obi Anambra’s doctors were on strike for 13 months over low pay. Google it! If the 26 million registered voters who are students vote for Obi, expect the mother of all ASUU strikes. Vote Atiku if you want to graduate in 4 years!

“Nigeria’s 26 million registered student voters should note that a stingy man, like Peter Obi, will not pay ASUU well. If he is elected, expect strikes that will frustrate you. You need a man, like Waziri Atiku Abubakar, who has promised to pay workers a living wage.”
