Gov Akeredolu Sends Message To Tinubu, Ondo People, Reveals When He'll Resume

The Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win the 2023 elections in Nigeria.

Describing the APC as the most popular party in Nigeria, the Governor also stated that it is now more difficult to rig elections in Nigeria due to technology introduced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Akeredolu who spoke while playing host to the retiring Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State, Mr Rufus Akeju disclosed that based on his experience, he can authoritatively say it is difficult to rig an election.

He however added that the introduction of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) by INEC has made rigging more difficult.

He said while addressing the REC: ”I am happy that it’s getting more and more difficult for anybody to influence INEC to rig the election. I have been involved in so many elections and I keep telling people, election is difficult to rig.

“It has become more difficult now, because whether we like it or not, INEC has improved on its work over time, and I want to congratulate you and the chairman for the good work you are doing.”

On his part, Akeju appreciated the Ondo State Government as well as the residents of the state for the support given to him during his tenure.
