Human Rights activist and social critic, Aisha Yesufu has said the Labour Party presidential candidate (LP), Peter Obi, would be more criticised because Nigerians expect more from him.

Naija News reports the activist took to the micro-blogging platform Twitter to say Obi would be held accountable because he would not be compared with any past leader of Nigeria.

According to her, Obi will be measured based on the standard of the best leaders in the world and not by past Nigerian leaders.

She wrote, “We will criticize him more than we have ever criticized any politician because we expect him to deliver more. We will not compare him to any leader Nigeria has ever had. We will gauge him based on the standard of the best leaders the world has had.”

Meanwhile, Naija News reported on Monday that the activist said her job was not to pamper Obi but to put him in check.

It was gathered that the Labour Party chieftain took to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter to note that her job with Obi is not be calling him your excellency sir, but it is to put him on his feet.

According to the activist, her job is to tell the former Anambra State governor what the people are going through that he needs to know.

Yesufu said while doing that even Obi himself usually request her to tell him what he needs to know about what is happening around him.

Her reaction follows a recent comment made by the Labour Party flag bearer on Berekete Family Love FM about why he chooses to go everywhere with Yesufu.

He said “I want to hear the bad comments also. I want to hear the bad news. That’s why I move about with Aisha Yesufu.”

Reacting to that, Yesufu took to Twitter to affirm that truly it was her job to put him (Obi) abreast with happenings.

She tweeted “That is my job oooh! I am not there to do ‘Your excellency, your excellency’

“My job is to keep telling him what the people are going through and in fairness to him he asks me to always tell him the things he is not getting right.”
