The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has met with over five thousand students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in a town-hall meeting.

The LP flag bearer arrived in Enugu for a political rally earlier today, but held a brief meeting at both campuses of the University of Nigeria, located at Nsukka and Enugu.

Obi, who was a student of UNN where he studied Philosophy, disclosed this in a post via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday.

“It is an honour to return to the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, and to participate in the UNN business school Students/Stakeholders interactive session, and rub minds on some fundamental issues germane to the future of Nigeria. -PO”

The former Anambra State Governor was recently in his home state on Tuesday, where a mammoth crowd of supporters welcomed him.

I Am Contesting As A Nigerian

Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has come out to clear the air about contesting as a Nigerian and not as a Biafra agitator.

According to him, he is running for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a Nigerian.

Obi cleared the air that he wasn’t contesting in support of any Biafra agitation because according to him Biafra war stopped existing about 52 years ago and it has remained so for him.

Naija News reports that the Labour Party flag bearer made this pronouncement when he was featured on Brekete Family Show in Abuja on Monday.

His reaction was against the backdrop of the agitation of the sovereign state of Biafra which is popular among some sections of the South East region.
