Media personality, Do2dtun who real name is Oladotun Kayode has explained why people commit age fraud in Nigeria following the age saga involving former Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ Housemate, Chinenyenwa Desire Okoebor, popularly known as ChiChi.

Recall, the reality TV star was dragged by fellow housemate Allysyn and many other Nigerians for allegedly reducing her age to 23 while celebrating her ’birthday’, yesterday, 10th January, 2022.

Despite the uproar, the BBNaija Star progressed to her Instagram page to share sultry photos as she marked her birthday.

Reacting to the development, Do2dtun via Twitter blamed society for making growing older seem like a crime.

According to the father of two, the reason people grow bad attributes of lying about their age is because of the Nigerian society itself is ‘too ageist.’

He wrote: “Aging is a crime in Nigeria. ”You don dey old o” ”Agbaya” ”you are old; stop dressing like that.”

“Some of you have limited anyone growing up to think it’s bad to be older. We are too ageist and that’s why a few have grown bad attributes of lying about their age.”
