Mogaji's Death: APC Suspends Campaign Rally In Kwara

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has suspended all campaign activities in the state to pay its last respect to the late State House of Assembly Majority Leader, Abubakar Olawoyin Magaji.

Naija News reports that Mogaji passed away early Monday, January 9, 20233. The lawmaker reportedly died after battling a long protracted illness.

Olawoyin was the All Progressives Candidate (APC) candidate of his constituency for the forthcoming 2023 general elections before his sudden death.

The State Chairman of the party, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, announced in Ilorin on Monday, that all outdoor campaign events will be suspended for a week.

His words read: “We hereby call on all our party organs, candidates and support groups to put a hold to all outdoor campaign rallies and activities for the next seven days until after the Fidau prayer.

“This is in honour of one of our leaders Hon. Abubakar Magaji Olawoyin.

“We pray that Allah will grant Al-Jannah to all our dead, especially the Leader of the 9th Kwara State House of Assembly Hon. Abubakar Magaji Olawoyin.”
