Pay The People You Hired – APC Discloses Those Behind Tambuwal’s Attack

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Sokoto state chapter has alleged that the crowd hired for the Peoples Democratic Party campaign outing is responsible for the attack on Governor Aminu Tambuwal

Naija News recalls that suspected thugs had ambushed the governor’s convoy with a hail of stones in the state capital, Sokoto while he was returning from a campaign tour of Silame and Wammako local government areas of the state.

Tambuwal, while reacting to the attack alleged that the APC leaders were not doing anything to help in tackling the security challenges in the state.

Reacting to the attack on the governor’s convoy in a press conference in Sokoto on Wednesday, the state chairman of the APC, Isa Sadiq Achida charged that the PDP administration thwarted the efforts of the security services.

He alleged that the attack was carried out by the hired crowd who were not paid for their services.

He said,“We advise Governor Tambuwal that in order to forestall future negative occurrences, he should henceforth settle all his hired, weapon-wielding crowd as at when due. It is a common sight, after each campaign outing, to see PDP hired crowd besieging the main entrance of the government house and mostly shouting unprintable words against the PDP Government, seeking their daily campaign settlement.”

Achida pointed out that part of the efforts by the security agencies was bringing political leaders together, to sign a peace deal, so as to ensure the peaceful conduct of campaigns and elections.
